We source organic, sun-dried coffee grown in the volcanic soils of Guatemala because of its rich antioxidant profile. What’s the best way to rinse it off?
You have options. After massaging the exfoliant into damp skin, you can gently rinse with warm water and leave the nourishing oils behind for a natural glow. Or, if you prefer a more matte finish, follow with a mild, natural soap and towel-dry before applying your favorite moisturizer. Many of our customers (and our founder) love using it both ways, depending on the season or skin needs.
Should I follow it with a moisturizer?
We highly recommend it. While this exfoliant does leave your skin feeling soft and replenished, pairing it with our Hydrating Cream helps seal in moisture and extend the benefits. The exfoliant clears the way for better absorption, and the cream nourishes deeply with botanical oils and bison tallow—making them the perfect pair.
Does it smell like coffee?
Absolutely — and more. You’ll notice the energizing aroma of freshly ground coffee, balanced by subtle notes of cardamom and earthy copaiba. It’s warm, invigorating, and naturally aromatic without any synthetic fragrance.
How often should I use it?
We recommend using it 2–3 times per week, depending on your skin type. If your skin is particularly dry or textured, you can use it more often — always following up with your favorite moisturizer to lock in hydration.
Will this clog pores or cause breakouts?
No. Bison tallow is non-comedogenic and mimics the oils your skin naturally produces, which helps keep pores clear. We also use jojoba oil, known for its ability to balance sebum production, and kaolin clay to gently detox. This combination works in harmony with your skin rather than against it.
