Shipping policy
Every order is packed by hand — usually by me, Bruno — in our Los Angeles studio. Here's what to expect.
Processing and delivery
Orders ship within 2 business days. Once your package is on its way, you'll get a tracking email. Most U.S. orders arrive within 3–5 business days of shipping.
Shipping is free on orders over $75. Below that, rates are calculated at checkout. We ship to the U.S. and Canada — international rates at checkout.
Shipping in the warm months
Tallow is a natural fat — it melts. That's part of what makes it so good for your skin, and it's something we take seriously when the weather warms up.
From roughly May through September, we take extra care:
- Orders ship early in the week, so your package never sits in a hot truck or warehouse over a weekend.
- Warm-weather orders are packed with plastic-free, compostable cooling and insulation — the same no-plastic standard we hold in the studio.
If your balm still arrives soft or melted, don't worry: nothing about the formula is harmed. Leave the jar closed and upright at room temperature (or 15 minutes in the fridge) and it will set right back up. The nutrition is exactly the same — texture may vary slightly, the way any real, unprocessed ingredient does.
If something arrives truly damaged — a broken jar, a big leak — email us a photo at bruno@tryancientnature.com and we'll make it right.
Prefer to skip shipping?
You can find us in person most weekends at farmers markets around Los Angeles — Redondo Beach, Topanga Canyon, Hermosa Beach, Marina del Rey, and Mar Vista. Come say hello and take your jar home the old-fashioned way.
